Nevadans are hurting. Our families and businesses have been crushed by shutdowns and mandates imposed on us by Democrats. Now, with inflation at an all time high, we’re seeing rising prices on everything from gas to groceries. Every day, it's getting harder and harder to provide for our families and it’s all thanks to Joe Biden’s reckless spending and failing policies.
I will fight to pass legislation that forces our government to live within its means. No more packing on debt and hiking up the cost of living just to pass partisan pipe dreams. I will never vote to raise taxes on the hardworking people of Nevada. You worked for that money, you should keep it.
The pandemic was used as an excuse to change Nevada election laws without a vote from your elected representatives. This abuse of emergency powers caused confusion, delays, chaos, and widespread uncertainty in our election process. I spoke out against these changes while I served in the Assembly and I will do the same in Congress as Democrats across the country continue their attacks on our elections.
I will stand up to ensure that every legally cast ballot is counted.
I grew up in a family of gun owners and was taught to be responsible with a firearm. Now as an adult, I am working on getting my Concealed Carry Permit. And as a mother, I've made sure my sons have been trained to safely handle a firearm. Overregulation doesn't fix rising violence and crime in this country - it simply makes it harder for the good guys to stand up for themselves and their loved ones.
In Congress, I will stand up to the anti-gun lobby and their deep pockets to make sure we can protect our families and our freedom.
A country is not a country if it doesn’t have strong borders. The Biden administration’s failure to enforce our laws has allowed illegal immigrants to walk right into our country. Now, the crisis at the border has become a crisis in Nevada. Drugs and crime are pouring over the border, and into our country, at record speed and our children, friends and neighbors are paying the price.
We welcome everyone who loves this country, and wants their chance to chase the American Dream, but they must come here legally. Our immigration laws must be enforced as they are written, sanctuary cities must be banned, and the border wall must be completed so we can bring order to our immigration system and secure our communities from drugs and violence.
In Congress, I will advocate to finish the border wall and make sure our border patrol gets the resources they need to protect Americans.
Teachers’ unions and their liberal allies have taken control of our education system and they care more about their political agendas than giving our kids the tools they need to make it in the real world. Nevada ranks 49th in the nation for education. Closing our schools cost our children education they could not afford to lose. It cost children, who were dependent on sports scholarships, opportunities to go to college. Now, our children, who are least affected by Covid, are being forced to wear masks all day in school while hypocritical Democrat elites attend parties and events without them.
We can fix education by prioritizing parents and giving them the ability to make decisions for their children. School choice should be the standard so every family is able to decide the type of education that works best for their children – whether it be public, private, or home-schooling. Education should be based on a child's needs - NOT their zip code.
As a mom of sons who attend Nevada schools, and that graduated from Nevada schools herself, I will fiercely advocate for parents across Nevada who want more for their kids' education than the one-size-fits-all system we've got.
Our veterans deserve far better than they are getting. The Department of Veterans care system in Nevada, like in much of the rest of the U.S., cannot provide the standard of care that our veterans were promised and earned for their sacrifices. It is unacceptable.
We need to make sure that the men and women who have dedicated their lives to preserving our freedoms get the treatment they rightfully deserve when they come home. In Congress, I will fight to create a higher standard of care and accountability in V.A. hospitals across the U.S. and ensure that, no matter the distance, our veterans get the care they deserve.
